“Iconic” is truly the “word” to describe the story of Grease: a tale of young love, rebelliousness and wild dancing, set in the ‘50s jitterbugging sock-hop culture!
Who doesn’t remember the sight of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta lighting up the screen with their wild moves and multitude of songs we are all so “hopelessly devoted” to?
In addition to being a current Broadway revival, Grease is one of the most popular high school musical choices and for good reasons. Our Friday Harbor High School Drama Group production features a cast of 40, live rock music and some very special “island” touches [look for popular local settings featured in the video backgrounds]. You won’t want to miss this spectacular production, a great evening of theatre for the entire family.
Tip: Friday, January 9 is “ ‘50s Night”…come dressed in your “fave” ‘50s style and win a prize!

An offshoot of California cuisine. We will prepare a meal with regional ingredients and learn how to pare with Northwest wines. Anna Lisa Lindstrum, the General Manager of Duck Soup Inn, will join us for instruction in traditional and difficult wine matching choices.
